In a video released by Eight by Eight, U.S. Women's Soccer Star Megan Rapinoe, made a bold statement saying, “I’m not going to the f***ing White House...We're not going to be invited." Although this video was released Tuesday, it was shot on January 25th. Her opinion of the President seemingly unchanged since the video was recorded. Rapinoe was referring to the World Cup when making these statements.

President Trump took no mercy on Rapinoe, taking to Twitter Wednesday morning to share his thoughts on the video. Trump wrote, “Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team.” “Be proud of the Flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!” His disapproval of Rapinoe's actions was made abundantly clear.

Rapinoe has neglected to place her hand over her heart or sing along to the national anthem during any World Cup match this year. She had previously taken a knee during the anthem until the United States Soccer Federation forbid this action. She now stands in silence during the anthem.
