How Russian Hackers Are Brainwashing Liberals: Part One

How Russian “Troll Farm” Hackers are Controlling the Political Narrative.

An alarming trend has become glaringly obvious — liberal Democrats are becoming sympathetic to world war.

As tension continues to heat up between Russia and Ukraine, propagandists are working overtime to trick gullible social media users into believing false narratives based on fake news stories and doctored photos. It is an amazingly deceptive and effective plan playing out right in front of our eyes in real-time.

Liberal democrats are being conditioned into not only accepting war, but are encouraging and asking for it. False pro-Ukrainian and pro-Russia stories are circulating across the internet using video clips from movie productions, training exercises or are from completely different parts of the world during previous conflicts.

One example of this intentional deception to gather sympathy comes from a film called “The War of Chimeras,” by Anastasia Starozhytska. Edited clips from this 2017 film are being used with claims that the video is from current events taking place in Ukraine.

One scene in the fictional movie showing soldiers hugging their wives goodbye with tear-filled eyes, has been deceptively edited and is spreading all over social media, emotionally moving people toward encouraging the U.S. to move in with American soldiers to fight in the war. Another example is a photo of a woman with bloody bandages on her face, described as a Ukrainian victim, has been circulating through news sources since 2017.

These are just two examples out of hundreds that are flooding the internet as we speak.

You may be asking yourself, "What does this all mean?"

Liberal democrats are becoming sympathetic toward sending American lives to war due to the propaganda campaign focused on indoctrinating them with misinformation.

If the Biden administration leads us into World War 3, the intentional brainwashing will make Sleepy Joe look like a hero in the Left’s eyes. All of our economic and social problems caused by the Biden Regime will be blamed on the Ukraine/Russia conflict rather than the truth, and if American soldiers die, it will be “worth it” to save the Ukrainian people, in their eyes.

On the other hand, some of the more progressive liberals are falling for pro-Russian propaganda and becoming sympathetic toward Putin’s actions. As you know, progressive liberals often dream about Soviet-Era style communism and hope it will one day infect the entire planet.

Since most “woke” progressive liberals are ignorant of world history, this group of Leftists is particularly susceptible and are very easy targets. Russian “trolls” are creating fake social media accounts to trick people by posting anti-American rhetoric — something which the progressive left soaks up and spews back out to everyone they know. These Russian trolls are convincing liberals that Putin is actually the good guy in all of this, and anti-freedom, pro-socialist progressives are eating it up by the spoonful.

A Russian troll farm called the Internet Research Agency (IRA) actively employs nearly 1,000 workers to create and push propaganda to American people.

Many of us are falling for it, but most specifically the liberal class who often believes deceptive headlines on face-value, rather than relying on credible sources, or facts and data.

The Internet Research Agency, aka the "Trolls from Olgino," is a Russian company founded in 2013 that engages in online influence operations on behalf of Russian business and political interests. It is linked to Russian oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin and is based in the heart of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Each employee has a daily quota of either 10 blog-articles, 100 social media comments, or a number of political cartoons/memes, working in 12 hour rotating shifts to sow disinformation.

A troll farm employee, who remained anonymous, told The Washington Post:

“I immediately felt like a character in the book 1984 by George Orwell — a place where you have to write that white is black and black is white. Your first feeling, when you ended up there, was that you were in some kind of factory that turned lying, telling untruths, into an industrial assembly line.”

A January 2017 report issued by the United States Intelligence Community, “Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections,” said this about the Russian internet agency:

"The likely financier of the so-called Internet Research Agency of professional trolls is a close ally of [Vladimir] Putin with ties to Russian intelligence … They previously were devoted to supporting Russian actions in Ukraine.”

On February 16 2018, a United States grand jury indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities, including the Internet Research Agency, for violating criminal laws with the intent to "interfere with U.S. elections and political processes," according to the Justice Department, but this barely put a dent in their targeted misinformation campaign.

In July 2020, President Trump revealed that he approved a cyberattack against the organization in 2018 that disrupted or shut down its operations temporarily.

But the groups have been able to grow and strengthen under the current administration, who instead focus their censorship attacks on free American people, despite our First Amendment rights, with conservatives being targeted 21 times more than liberals.

This is only the surface of an elaborate global propaganda scheme. This type of strategic disinformation campaign goes way deeper than you could ever imagine, creating an enormous amount of discord in American society that you will have to read more to believe.

Evidence has been uncovered directly linking the Internet Research Agency and other Russian disinformation companies to Black Lives Matter protests, and nearly every other riot in every major city in the last several years. There are direct ties linking Russian (or Soviet) propaganda outlets to American civil issues as far back as the 1930s — but now with access to high-speed internet and social media sites, the amount of propaganda has exploded exponentially and is becoming increasingly effective for indoctrinating some American people and political groups into believing false narratives.
